Wooden Garages | Yorkshire

Traditionally constructed timber frame garages provide shelter for vehicles with easy access. Based in Harrogate, Yorkshire we design and build bespoke wooden garages in either green oak or structurally graded pressure treated soft wood.
Should it be accommodation for one or multiple vehicles with or without secure doors, upstairs office space, extra workshop space or simply just 'a space to be in', our wooden garages can accommodate. Ground or first floor additional spaces will be finished internally with their intended use in mind. For example, an office space will need to be insulated and internally clad or plastered and provisions made for services. Side and roof windows, double or single glazed can be incorporated. Alternatively, workshop space can have a more utilitarian finish, with fitted shelving, cupboards and work benches.

External features such as log stores, bin stores and additional storage for garden equipment and furniture can easily be designed into a bespoke garage scheme.
Where required or requested we work closely with structural engineers to ensure that our structures are built applying appropriate timber engineering. This is particularly important when local authorities are involved. Building regulation certificates can be applied for and gained when required. Our clients are presented with a copy of the engineer’s calculations and specifications for their own records, confirming that their new wooden garage has been built not only to their exact aesthetic design, but is structurally sound as well.

Dependent upon size and location there may be a requirement for a planning application to be made. We provide initial guidance regarding this topic in order to determine what level of application, if any, is needed. Should a full planning application be necessary, we can handle all aspects of the process from technical drawings and site meetings through to negotiations and design amendments if required.
Our garages are totally unique, hand crafted by us, to be enjoyed by you.

Wooden Hot Tub Surrounds | Yorkshire

Wooden hot tub surrounds are the key to maximise the use of hot tubs in the British climate. We provide bespoke solutions designed and installed in and around Yorkshire, for exactly that purpose. Ranging from open air pergolas providing some shelter from the elements to covered gazebo style structures. These types of buildings increase the visual and practical aspects of your hot tub. Be it pressure treated softwood, green oak or any other hard wood, a wooden hot tub surround is sure to entice you outside  into the water and get maximum pleasure from your hot tub.

For gazebos, we are happy to use a wide range of roofing materials to complement the existing garden and architectural surroundings.  This could be number 1 grade western red cedar shingles, slate, clay tiles, rosemary tiles. The options are endless.  To achieve a decorative internal finish between the exposed roof rafters, we can clad our roofs with tongue and groove boards to match the timber used throughout the main structure. Whilst adding structural integrity to the roof, the boards also hide the hi-tech breathable waterproof membrane from sight. As well as our unique designs it is this attention to detail that separate our bespoke structures from mass produced kits and other less considered alternatives.

We regularly design additional features into our hot tub surround schemes such as wooden decking, fitted seating, drinks bars, lighting and outdoor entertainment systems. To achieve an appropriate level of privacy, carefully placed screening can also be added.
Whether your hot tub is an existing feature that needs turning into a complete all year round functional area or you would like us to handle the procurement and installation of a new unit within a bespoke scheme, we can help.

Garden Offices | Yorkshire

All our bespoke designed and installed Garden Offices are available throughout Yorkshire and  Increasingly it makes sense to work from home, either as a small business owner, or an executive that floats between Head Office and clients.

Writers, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Interior Designers and Architects often take inspiration from their mood, which can be significantly influenced by their surroundings. Having a fully functional garden office affords the owner the luxury and flexibility of operating from home whilst still in a dedicated working environment.
Be it traditional or contemporary, many of the features of our garden offices are shared. All walls and floor can be insulated with a minimum of 100mm insulation. The structurally graded timber frame is clad in a sheet material, such as ply for wind bracing and added structural integrity. Finally, the whole structure is wrapped in a high quality breathable membrane prior to cladding the walls in either western red cedar, pressure treated softwood or desired hard wood finish.  All doors and windows are double glazed with toughened glass where required.

The style and finish of the interior requires careful consideration and specification. We can cater from simple internal sheet material cladding through to fully decorated plaster board and plaster. Thereafter the choice of features are mostly no different to a house, Electrics, Plumbing, Heating, WiFi etc are all options.
We are happy to use a wide range of roofing materials to complement the existing garden and architectural surroundings.  For pitched roofs this could be number 1 grade western red cedar shingles, slate, clay tiles, rosemary tiles. For flat roofs the finish can be either GRP, roofing grade rubber or living sedum turf. The options are endless. As well as our unique designs it is this attention to detail that separate our bespoke structures from mass produced kits and other less considered alternatives.

Our bespoke wood gazebos can be constructed in almost any size for small or large gardens, with the design reflecting the urban or rural surroundings. With the unpredictable British weather Gazebos can extend an evenings’ entertainment into the night allowing the party to continue.

Our Gazebo styles are limitless; we design, produce and install over engineered, chunky, statement gazebos. Alternatively we can produce far more intricate and delicate designs. Any genre is achievable be it ‘Over The Top’ or understated.
We are happy to use a wide range of roofing materials to complement the existing garden and architectural surroundings.  This could be number 1 grade western red cedar shingles, slate, clay tiles, rosemary tiles. For year round use, we can integrate outdoor waterproof lighting, heaters, log burners and furniture. We can even turn your gazebo into a fully functioning outdoor kitchen. Where appropriate, we are happy to use any species of timber for any given style of gazebo. Anything from Spruce to Sapele, from Green Oak to Iroko! Where necessary, we select structurally graded (c16 or better) timber. All softwood we use is pressure treated specifically for external use. Irrespective of style and species, the end result will be a beautiful unique structure, handcrafted by us, specifically for you.
